PSY 3045B - Clinical Intervention II
This course is the second required in a sequence (Interventions I - IV) for clinical psychology students and it is launched at a Saybrook Residential Learning Experience (attendance required). In this course, students will continue further overview and development of intervention techniques and therapy skills as relevant to different modalities and populations: children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, groups, and communities. The course will focus on the therapist's role in selecting and implementing intervention strategies and monitoring progress, collaborative treatments, and skills necessary for working with a variety of client issues across the lifespan with sensitivity to the complexities of human diversity and the importance of multicultural competencies in clinical practice. Note: This course is open to CP students only. Prerequisite(s): Master’s in clinical psychology or comparable degree (see Program Chair), PSY 3045A Clinical Intervention I and PSY 8145A Clinical Practicum I .
