Mind-Body Medicine, Specialization in Mindful Leadership in Healthcare, Ph.D.

Concepts of mindfulness and compassion-based leadership have gained commercial and institutional popularity, but there are limited evidence-based educational programs that focus on foundational models and related skills and approaches. 

The specialization in Mindful Leadership in Healthcare includes 15 credits of coursework that includes reflective, mindfulness, and compassion-based approaches to leadership in healthcare. Students will also acquire and master practical skills including grant writing and consulting.

The average time to complete the 75-78 degree requirements with or without a specialization is 4.5 to 5.5 years.

The PhD MBM degree does not qualify graduates for medical licensure.
