Sponsored by: Department of Applied Psychophysiology
The certificate program in Biofeedback provides an alternative for the individual who wishes to obtain a comprehensive introduction to biofeedback, without undertaking an academic degree program. All training and didactic education is designed to follow the knowledge blueprint of the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). Students pursuing the certificate must document access to biofeedback instrumentation including at least three modalities. The certificate is a 9-credit program, three academic courses, and two residential conferences. The certificate program in Biofeedback offers one enrollment period in the fall semester. The first course begins in Fall A and continues through the end of the summer semester or until the practicum requirement is complete.
Additional BCIA requirements include: a course in anatomy and physiology, supervised experience, and exam. Refer to the BCIA for further details: www.bcia.org.
