RES 3130 - Descriptive Phenomenological Psychological Research


This second level research methods course emphasizes teaching the practical skills necessary for descriptive research work. The course emphasizes the concrete steps necessary for phenomenological research as well as introduces necessary theoretical concepts including intentionality, the phenomenological reduction, and intuition. Standards for doing valid research work are critically examined throughout the course. Entails a research proposal, IRB review, execution of a pilot research study, and written research report.
