CS 6606 - Introduction to Expressive Arts


This course provides an introduction to Expressive Arts approaches, paradigms, and theoretical concepts that aid in developing multi-modal fluency for the purposes of self-discovery. The expressive arts therapist, consultant, or educator combines and integrates visual arts, movement, drama, music, writing, and other creative processes to foster growth and transformation with individuals and groups. Person-Centered Expressive Arts and The Creative Connection® developed by Natalie Rogers will be explored through personal process, discussion, and readings. 3 credit(s)
