HM 7440 - Leadership and Global Challenges


This course provides an in-depth review of research and practice relevant to the achievement of the quadruple bottom line in rapidly evolving global conditions faced by businesses. Students assess domestic and international social, political, and economic landscapes, as well as the impact of technology on the globalized business environment. The effect of diverse values and cultures is evaluated in cross-cultural communication and business operations. Students identify trends in globalization and recommend decision-making strategies to enhance socio-economic equity and equality for participants of the supply chain as well as communities where the customers are located.  Relevant research results are used to approach global leadership in humanistic management, collaboration, and workforce development in the context of socially responsible transcontinental corporations.
