CES 7065 - Advanced Qualitative Research MethodsThis course provides an in-depth exploration of four qualitative research methodologies. Advanced topics in qualitative research are considered in order to foster critical thinking skills and to inform a long-term research agenda. Epistemological assumptions, theoretical considerations, data collection, and analytic procedures for grounded theory, phenomenological, narrative, and ethnographic research designs are reviewed. Additionally, this course covers coding processes, lived experience descriptions, the use of photos in data collection, field notes, and autobiographical writing, and other data sources. 3 credit(s) |
