MBM 5616 - Movement Modalities for WellnessThis course reviews the importance of physical movement and exercise in the development of self-awareness, as well as the maintenance and restoration of health. Students will examine research supporting the use of movement modalities such as yoga, tai chi/qigong, Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement, martial arts, aerobic exercise, dance, and others as interventions for optimal health and wellness. Students will also experience several of these modalities at the residential conference, as well as exploring and writing about their experience practicing one approach. 3 credit(s) Offered: Offered SP - Terms A/B.
