It covers the person-centered philosophy and research of Carl Rogers and Natalie Rogers's person-entered approach to expressive arts and her unique process called the Creative Connection. This course lays the groundwork for understanding the philosophical roots of Natalie Rogers's model of experiential learning and how the creative process puts us in touch with our soul, our spirit, and our inner wisdom. Students will learn how Natalie Rogers's work in Person-Centered Expressive Arts Therapy promotes self-expression through the creative arts - movement, art, music, and writing, and how it focuses on the inner journey through a creative process fostered by a safe, accepting, non-judgmental, person-centered environment. 3 credit(s)
