COA 5628 - Evidence-Based Coaching


This course presents a comprehensive overview of the foundational coaching competencies and skills as defined by the International Coach Federation (ICF), International Consortium for Health and Wellness Coaching (ICHWC), and Center for Credentialing and Education (Board Certified Coach).  Throughout the duration of the class, students will (a) learn about the similarities and differences between coaching, counseling, and consulting; (b) apply the coaching framework and skills to facilitate effective conversations; (c) review the theories and evidence-based approaches that support the coaching process and its outcomes; and (d) discuss career opportunities within the coaching profession.  This is the first of three required courses in the Integrative Wellness Coaching Certificate program. 3.0 credit(s)
